LOBOS DOMINATE MAVS
LONGVIEW - Marshall and Longview met for the 91st time before a sellout of 10,500 at Lobos Stadium. Longview jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and extended it to 20-0 late into the second. A late 2nd qtr interception by the Lobos gave Longview a commanding 27-0 lead at the half. Longview used big plays all night to amass 325 total yards on offense. Marshall's QB Austin Christmas was 22-39 for 178 yards and two touchdowns, but the Mavs had only 61 yards on the ground. Longview scored again in the third to take a 35-0 lead. Marshall finally got on the scoreboard late in the third to make it 35-7, Longview scored late in the 4th, with Marshall scoring in the final seconds for the 42-14 final.
