Paris received the opening kickoff and found themselves on their own 26 with first and ten. However the fresh Lobos refused togive much distance and Jim Hickey punted to the Longview 35. The ball exchanged hands several times in this period and the Lobos seemed headed for the Paris goal when a fumble on the Wildcat 20 was recovered by Deryl Stevenson, Cat tackle, to stop the threat.

The second quarter proved about the same with neither team offering a definite threat except for one time when Abie Aycock, chunky Lobo quarterback, dropped back in punt formation but decided to run instead. Starting from his own 25 he went off tackle cut to the left, and started for paydirt. However Paris' 148 pound end, Jim Hollis, came from behind to drag Aycock down on the Wildcat 40. Longview took the kickoff opening the second half on the 50 yard line after the ball had wobbled out of bounds there. They called ten plays before they went over the goal line. It was Joe Young, Arthur Rowland, and Aycock advancing the oval with Young going over right tackle from the one yard line for the six points. The try for extra point was good.

Receiving the kickoff on the ten yard line, Streety raced back to the 24 where he was hit hard and lost possession of the ball. However the Longview eleven only picked up eight yards and the ball went over to Paris on downs on the 16. Paris worked up to the 39 but a Lobo halfback intercepted an-attempted pass to take over on the 40. Once again it was that same chunky quarterback, Abie Aycock, who engineered the victory march to the goal line. Driving down to the five, it was Aycock tossing a pass to Ben Brown, Longview-left end, for the winning touchdown.

The final period was possibly the most exciting quarter of the game as Paris' Gus Cothran took a punt on his 42 and returned for Paris' touchdown, Aycock intercepted a pass and went to the Paris' ten yard line but Longview was penalized half the distance of the field for unnecessary roughness, and on the next play he went all the way for a touchdown but was called' back when both teams were offsides.
